In 2011, two attorneys met over lunch and discussed their concern for the lack of community supports and opportunities during the holiday season, for children with developmental disabilities like their son and brother. The idea of the Sensory-Friendly Santa was born. Over the last 10 years the organization has served thousands of families through their grants program, Sensory Friendly Santa event and now their new Sensory Classroom initiatives.
Our board of directors is comprised of President, Sandy Santeiro - a Bilingual, Educational Advocate and Master IEP Coach® who is the mother to an autistic young man and Kelley Prince, M.A., BCBA who is the owner and founder of Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay.
